I-89 And Route 2 Closed Between Richmond And Waterbury

As Hurricane Sandy’s blustery winds sweep through Vermont, the storm is disrupting travel. Police say Interstate 89 and Route 2, in both directions, are closed between Richmond and Waterbury due to a downed power line. Members from the Vermont State Police, Agency of Transportation and Green Mountain Power are on the scene assessing the situation.
