Lieutenant Governor’s Race: Cassandra Gekas, Progressive/Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, already has a backup plan if her bid for lieutenant governor doesn’t pan out, according to Paul Heintz of Seven Days. Heintz reports that Gekas has lined up a job a legislative coordinator with the Vermont State Employees Association, the union representing 5,200 state workers. Read more.
State Treasurer’s Race: The Addison County Independent‘s John Flowers profiles incumbent Democrat Beth Pearce and Republican opponent Wendy Wilton. Flowers reports Pearce touting Vermont’s bond rating (Read more), while Wilton notes her role in Rutland’s recovery (Read more).
