Google and VTrans just launched a new website to track road and bridge closures and other information. Many folks have complained that 511vt.com only includes the state roads and not the local/town roads. This project seems like a response to that feedback.
From Matt Dunne, head of community affairs (and former candidate for Vermont Governor):
“We worked with the Vermont Agency of Transportation to put together a map documenting road and bridge closures, flooding and other information. We hope this map is helpful to the residents of Vermont recovering from Hurricane Irene.”
